Our Probate And Estate Administration Practice

If an estate is distributed in accordance with the terms of a will, the process is known as probate administration. In probate administration matters, we typically represent the executor or administrator of an estate, helping you complete the requirements of the probate process so that you can efficiently settle an estate. We will prepare all the documents required during the process, will carefully explain your duties as executor and will act as your advocate in all hearings or proceedings. We will help you prepare an inventory of the assets of the estate, ensure that all final debts and taxes of the estate are satisfied, and work with you to oversee the orderly distribution of property in accordance with the terms of the will. In some situations, we will provide guidance to the beneficiary of an estate. If you have questions about your rights under a will or concerns about the actions of an executor, we can assist you.

Our Trust Administration Practice

If the deceased’s property is distributed according to the terms of a trust agreement, the process is known as trust administration. When we provide trust administration services, we customarily represent the trustee or the successor trustee. We will help you understand your rights and obligations as a trustee and work with you to make certain that your actions comply with the terms of the trust and the applicable law. This includes the distribution of property as set forth in the trust agreement. We also represent individuals who are trust beneficiaries, helping you understand and protect your rights under a trust. We will explain any documents you receive from the trustee or trust company and help you take any required action to protect your interests. We also handle estate administration that simultaneously involves trust and probate administration.
